Valid or not
One clear answer, with the reason when something is wrong: expired, not yet valid, wrong name or an untrusted chain.
FREE SSL CHECK
Enter a domain and see right away whether its certificate is valid, when it expires, who issued it and whether it covers that name. Want your websites checked every day? Put up to five HTTPS websites on one free status page you can share.
01WHAT YOU GET
One clear answer, with the reason when something is wrong: expired, not yet valid, wrong name or an untrusted chain.
See exactly when the certificate runs out, so a failed renewal doesn't take your website offline by surprise.
Who issued the certificate, and whether it covers the exact name you entered, wildcards included.
02GOOD TO KNOW
Connecty connects to the domain on port 443, sends its name (SNI) and reads the certificate the server returns. It checks the dates, whether the certificate covers the name and whether it chains to a trusted certificate authority. You can run 10 checks per 10 minutes, and the address isn't stored.
Browsers show a full-page security warning instead of your website, and most visitors leave. Automatic renewal, for example with Let's Encrypt, usually happens about 30 days before expiry, so only a few days left often means the renewal is failing.
Usually it's self-signed, or the server doesn't send the intermediate certificate. Some browsers fill in a missing intermediate themselves, but many other clients and apps don't, so it's worth fixing at your host.
Connecty checks up to five HTTPS websites right after you add them and then once a day, scheduled for 08:00 UTC. An expired or invalid certificate makes that check fail, so the website shows as down on your status page, and with status emails on you get an email after that check. Connecty doesn't show the expiry date on your status page.
Nothing. The SSL check is free, and so is Connecty for up to five websites.
