MCP SERVER FOR AI ASSISTANTS

How are your websites doing? Ask your AI assistant.

Connect Connecty to your preferred AI assistant via MCP. Ask which websites were reachable at the latest daily check, see what has changed or add a website. All from your conversation.

  1. You

    How are my websites doing?

  2. Assistant

    Both your websites were reachable at the latest daily check, today at 08:00 UTC. There were no status changes over the last seven days.

  3. You

    Add https://shop.example.com to my websites.

  4. Assistant

    Added. shop.example.com passed its first check. Connecty will check it daily from now on. You now use 3 of your 5 websites.

  5. You

    Remove old-blog.example.com.

  6. Assistant

    This deletes old-blog.example.com and its check history. Shall I go ahead?

01WHAT YOU GET

What your assistant can do

Ask instead of checking

Ask how your websites are doing. Your assistant shows the latest daily results, when they were checked and what has changed over the last seven days.

Manage sites in the chat

Add or remove a website by asking. The same rules as in the dashboard apply: HTTPS only, up to five websites, and a first check right away.

You stay in control

Your assistant only gets access to your account after you sign in and allow it. See and disconnect connected apps in your dashboard at any time.

02SET IT UP

Connected in three steps

MCP server URL

https://connecty.nl/mcp

Streamable HTTP. Public tools work without signing in. Your account connects with OAuth the first time you ask about your own sites.

  1. 01

    Add the server

    In your assistant's connector or MCP settings, add a custom remote MCP server with the URL above.

  2. 02

    Connect your account

    Ask your assistant to list your websites. Connecty opens in your browser: sign in with the email link and allow your assistant access.

  3. 03

    Ask about your websites

    Try: “How are my websites doing?” or “What changed this week?” Your assistant reads the stored daily results.

03SETUP GUIDES

Step by step, per app

Every app connects to the same URL. The first time you use your own sites, Connecty opens in your browser: enter your email, click the sign-in link and allow access.

opencode

  1. Add Connecty as a remote MCP server named connecty, in ~/.config/opencode/opencode.json or in opencode.json in your project:
    {
      "$schema": "https://opencode.ai/config.json",
      "mcp": {
        "connecty": {
          "type": "remote",
          "url": "https://connecty.nl/mcp",
          "enabled": true
        }
      }
    }
  2. Sign in. Your browser opens Connecty; sign in with the email link and allow access:
    opencode mcp auth connecty
  3. Ask, for example: “Use connecty to list my websites.” Check the connection at any time with opencode mcp list.
Official docs: opencode ↗

Claude (claude.ai)

  1. Go to Customize → Connectors, click “+ Add” and choose “Add custom connector”.
  2. Name it Connecty, paste the URL above and click “Continue”. Keep the detected sign-in settings and click “Add”.
  3. Click “Connect”. Connecty opens: sign in with the email link and allow access.
  4. In a chat, turn Connecty on via “+” → Connectors.

On the Free plan you can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds it first under Organization settings → Connectors; then you click “Connect”.

Official docs: Claude (claude.ai) ↗

Claude Desktop

  1. Add Connecty as a custom connector, as described for claude.ai. You can do this in the Claude Desktop app too: Customize → Connectors → “+ Add” → “Add custom connector”.
  2. Remote connectors belong to your Claude account, so a connector you added on claude.ai also shows up in Claude Desktop.
  3. Don’t add the URL to claude_desktop_config.json: that file is only for local MCP servers.

Cursor

  1. Add Connecty as a remote server in ~/.cursor/mcp.json (all projects) or .cursor/mcp.json (one project):
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "connecty": {
          "url": "https://connecty.nl/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
  2. Open Customize in the sidebar, make sure connecty is turned on and sign in when Cursor asks. Connecty opens in your browser: sign in with the email link and allow access.
  3. Ask in chat, for example: “Which of my websites are down?”
Official docs: Cursor ↗

Grok Bot

  1. Grok Bot has no settings form for custom MCP servers. Tell your bot in chat: “Add this MCP server: https://connecty.nl/mcp”.
  2. Confirm the details and finish the sign-in in your browser: sign in with the email link and allow access.
  3. The Connecty tools are available from your next message.

ChatGPT

  1. Custom MCP servers work in ChatGPT Business and Enterprise/Edu workspaces on ChatGPT web, if your admin allows it.
  2. Go to Plugins, click “+” and choose “Add custom MCP server”. Enter Connecty as the name and the URL above under Connection.
  3. Choose OAuth as authentication, accept the risk warning and select “Create as a plugin”. Sign in with the email link and allow access.

04JUST SAY IT

Use your voice, too.

“Are my websites online?”

Ask out loud in your preferred AI assistant. Connecty provides your websites’ latest daily results.

Your assistant must support voice and MCP together. Availability varies by app and plan.

05SEVEN TOOLS

Everything your assistant can use

No sign-in needed

  • get_status_page

    The latest daily status, 7-day uptime and history of any Connecty status page.

  • about_connecty

    What Connecty is, what is included and how to sign up.

After you connect your account

  • list_my_sites

    Your websites with their latest result and 7-day uptime.

  • get_my_status_page_link

    The link to your public status page, ready to share.

  • get_status_changes

    Which of your websites were down at the latest daily check, and what changed in the last 7 days. You can call it from a daily scheduled task in your assistant.

  • add_site

    Add an HTTPS website (up to five) and check it right away.

  • remove_site

    Remove a website and its history. It is marked as destructive, so assistants that support this ask you to confirm first.

06GOOD TO KNOW

Straight answers.

Which AI assistants work with it?

MCP-compatible assistants and apps that support remote servers over Streamable HTTP, such as Grok Bot, Claude, Claude Desktop, Cursor, opencode and VS Code, and ChatGPT in Business and Enterprise/Edu workspaces. Account tools also need MCP sign-in (OAuth) support.

What does it cost?

Nothing. The MCP server is free, like Connecty itself.

Do I need an account?

Yes, for your own websites. Sign up free, add your websites and allow your assistant access by signing in once with the email link. Public Connecty status pages can also be read without an account.

What can my assistant see and change?

Only your own websites and your status page link, and only after you allow it. It cannot change your email address or page name. Disconnect it at any time under Connected apps in your dashboard.

Does my assistant get alerts or live checks?

No. Connecty checks each website when you add it, then once a day at 08:00 UTC. Your assistant sees those results; there are no live or minute-by-minute checks. Connecty itself can email you after the daily check when a site went down or is back up, if you switch that on in your dashboard.
